Do I need a permit to build a fence?
Depending on where you live may mean you need a permit to build your fence.
Let's use the following municipalities that we serve as a quick example.

Wichita: No,
Wichita does not require a fence permit to be pulled if height of fence does not exceed over 8ft tall.

Derby: Yes!
The City of Derby requires a permit to be pulled prior to the installation of your fence.

Andover: Yes!
The City of Andover requires a permit to be pulled prior to the installation of your fence.

Bel Aire: Yes!
Bel Aire not only requires a permit to be pulled, but the fee for your permit is based off the estimated value or cost of the fence.

Goddard: Yes!
Only for new builds. City of Goddard Does not require permits for replacement. City Of Goddard also does not allow chain link in residential areas.

Benton: Yes!

Mulvane: Only for new builds. City of Mulvane Does not require permits for replacement.
