If you have decided to hire the fence work out to a contractor make sure your contractor is licensed in your jurisdiction in which you reside, and that they have pulled the proper permits. Most cities and towns listed above actually require a fence installer (contractor) to have a license to do so in that town and to pull the permit themselves. Not ensuring the contractor is properly licensed or have not pulled your fence permit can come back to haunt you as the home owner.
